Mark Govier has been a fully qualified PGA Professional for 14 years and was one of the youngest qualified professional golfers in the UK, at the age of 20. After qualifying as a Professional at Clyne Golf Club, he went on to play on a number of mini tours including the Master Card Tour and Europro Tour.
After a few years of successfully playing full time, Mark decided to pursue his passion for coaching golf at the highest level. He became Head Professional at Hensol Golf Academy at the age of 21, and was soon one of the busiest golf coaches in the Cardiff area. After his success at Hensol and with an enviable reputation as a coach, Mark was appointed Head Professional at Morriston Golf Club in Swansea.
Mark has developed and built upon his impeccable reputation as a top class coach and has coached golfers of all abilities, from complete beginners through to the elite golfers, playing at both amateur and professional levels.
Mark felt that his ethos of 'teaching to the individual' should be used to reach an even wider audience, via the World Wide Web. It was with this in mind that Mark devised and developed his Elite Golf Coach website, giving Mark a platform to further his holistic approach to coaching players, of varying abilities. Elite Golf Coach offers its users, an insight into Mark's belief that as players, we have both differing goals and ambitions and time scales to play and practise. With his ethos of teaching the individual, Mark is able to draw upon his many years of experience and success as a top flight coach, to build a programme that will suit the individual's specific schedule and goals, ultimately helping to realise their full golfing potential.
Mark is very proud that he has recently been appointed Head Professional at Machynys Peninsula Golf and Country Club, and relishes the opportunity this presents to him, as a renowned coach in the South West Wales area. He is totally focused and indeed committed to offering the highest level of coaching, for all members at Machynys GCC and welcomes new and old coaching clients, to the first class facilities at the Club.
Mark believes that Machynys GCC is the premier coaching facility in the South West Wales area. It will undoubtedly allow Mark to offer the highest level of coaching to all of his clients, as he has worked hard to develop many different coaching packages. These range from standard sessions, through to his Elite Golf Coach lesson, which will give the player complete computer analysis, a DVD of their sessions, complimented by a written evaluation compiled by Mark. With the differing coaching options available, Mark believes he has options for every golfer.
